Crowley Police are currently investigating a case involving the false imprisonment of two Crowley residents. In the early morning hours of July 19th, officers of the Crowley Police Department received a call reporting a possible kidnapping the in 1400 block of N. Ave. J in Crowley. Upon the officers arrival the suspects’ vehicle was observed fleeing the area in which officers initiated pursuit. Officers pursued the vehicle east on Interstate 10 into the city of Scott, where the vehicle was involved in a single vehicle crash. With the assistance of neighboring law enforcement agencies, two of the three suspects were able to be apprehended. The apprehended suspects are identified as Brian Veals and Nakia Ramar, both of Opelousas. Both subjects are charged with Felony false imprisonment (offender armed with a dangerous weapon), Resisting arrest and Resisting an officer by flight. They were booked into the Acadia Parish Criminal Justice Center. No bond has been set as of this time.
The third suspect is still at large at the time of this release. This suspect is identified as Willie Isaiah Keys of Opelousas. He is described as a black male with dreadlocks, 19 years of age.
