Thaddeus Mire

Officers with the Crowley Police Department arrested a Crowley man as he was in the act of committing a residential burglary. The incident occurred Monday evening at approximately 9:20 pm.

Officers were notified of a suspicious circumstance in the 500 block of East 2nd Street. “Officers were directed to a residence which is being remodeled, where a suspicious white male was observed on the property” Stated Chief KP Gibson.

Once on scene, officers were able to determine that the subject had entered the residence. The subject was then located and detained pending additional investigation. “As the subject was detained, officers observed the suspect to be wearing gloves and removing property from the residence. Once the owner was notified, officers confirmed that the subject was burglarizing the residence” stated Chief Gibson.

After the suspect was arrested, officers conducted a search incidental to arrest and located marijuana and pills belonging to the suspect.

Arrested and booking into the Acadia Parish Jail: Thaddeus Mire, 35 of Crowley. Mire was booked one count of Burglary and Possession with the Intent to Distribute Schedule I & IV narcotics.
