Crowley Police are investigating a March 30th incident which occurred in the 100 block of Pintail Drive in Crowley. The complaint occurred at approximately 3:10 am.
Officers were dispatched to a disturbance call. Upon arrival officers discovered that smoke had filled the residence. Officers immediately confirmed that all occupants were removed from the home and were safe. The fire was extinguished with minimal damage.
“The investigation revealed that one of the occupants of the residence had intentionally ignited the fire within the residence while another occupant was present. The suspect was not present while officers were on the scene during the investigation” stated Chief KP Gibson.
Officers did locate the suspect later in the morning and arrested him for Aggravated Arson. Booked into the Acadia Parish Jail was Louis Harder, 39 of Crowley.
“This investigation remains open even though Harder has been charged with Aggravated Arson. We are working with the State Fire Marshal’s Office on this investigation” stated Chief Gibson.
