Crime of the Week is released by Crime Stoppers once a week. This release has to do with a crime which is being highlighted by law enforcement for additional information. This release normally occurs on Tuesdays.

Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish needs your help to solve a crime.

The Crowley Police Department is investigating a hit and run that occurred at the intersection of Odd Fellow and Tower Rd. at midnight on March 14, 2015.

The suspect vehicle struck the victim from behind, then turned onto Tower Rd. and fled the scene. It’s described as a red Ford Ranger with faded paint and is believed to be from the Crowley area.

The Crowley Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance to locate three fugitives, all wanted for distribution of crack cocaine.

 

Carlette Davis is described as a black female, 32, 5’7” in height, weighing 215 pounds, with short black hair. Her last known address is 297 Westwood Dr., in Crowley.

Bobby Dewayne Stephen is described as a black male, 35, 6’1” in height, weighing 240 pounds, with short black hair. His last known address is 804 W 5th St., in Crowley.

CSAP Rayne Theft

Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish and the Rayne Police Department are asking for the publics’ assistance to identify two suspects involved in the criminal damage and theft of a security video camera. The crime occurred at Rayne Catholic Elementary Gym located on South Parkerson in Rayne around 8:40PM on January 17, 2015.

The surveillance video shows the 2 suspects first walk past then in front of the camera. Then after several attempts, the older suspect lifted the younger suspect up and tore the camera off the wall. The suspects were caught on video surveillance.

The Crowley Police Department is investigating criminal damage to property which occurred on a tennis court at the Crowley Recreation Department, located at 717 W. Mill St. on January 29, 2015 at approx. 11:00 p.m.

Video surveillance captures four individuals damaging property at the Glady Trahan Tennis Centre. We’re requesting the public’s assistance to identify the suspects who created this damage. Video leads us to believe the suspects are one white male, one black male and two white females.

The Crowley Police Department is investigating two felony thefts that occurred at Walmart on 1/14/15 at approx. 7:30 p.m.

The two suspects are described as black females with a heavy build. The first had long red hair and was wearing a white t-shirt and dark shorts. The second was wearing a dark color Adidas t-shirt and dark pants. They were both carrying sling purses and were seen leaving in a small dark color car with a third black female with a medium build.

The first is described as a dark skin black male with a heavy build and short hair. The second suspect is a light skin black male with a tall, thin build and short hair, carrying a handgun.

Crowley Police needs your help to locate Frandon Beverly and Damien Guidry.

Frandon Beverly, 26, of Crowley, is described as a black male, dark complexion, 6’0” in height, weighing 185 pounds, with short black hair. His last known address is 1212 Lurose Ave. in Crowley. He is wanted for Principal to attempted second degree murder.

Damien Guidry, 34, of Welsh, is described as a black male, 6’03” in height, weighing 175 pounds with short black hair and multiple gold teeth. His last known address is 1001 North St. in Welsh. He has ties to Jennings, Crowley and Texas also. He is wanted for Home invasion and 2 counts of Attempted first degree murder.

Both men should be considered armed and dangerous.

Crowley Police have secured arrest warrants for Phillip J. Olivier, Jr., 25 of New Iberia. Olivier is wanted for 3 counts of Attempted First Degree Murder. These warrants stem from an October 14th incident that occurred in the 1100 block of Western Ave. The suspect fired multiple shots at a vehicle which was occupied by 3 people.

Olivier is described as a black male, 5’10 in height weighing 150 pounds. Though Olivier’s address shows that he resides in New Iberia, he is known to stay in Crowley. Olivier should be considered armed and dangerous. Bond has been set at $150,000 by District Judge John Trahan.

The suspects are described as two black females with long hair. The first was wearing all black and a black baseball cap. The second was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.

Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish needs your help to solve a Homicide.

Crowley Police are investigating a shooting incident which has left one man dead. The incident occurred Sunday, October 12, 2014 just before 5:00 pm. The shooting occurred in the 600 block of West 7th Street.

Officer’s responded to location of the shooting to discover that an individual had been shot multiple times. The victim, identified as Taylor Beverly, 22 of Crowley, was transported to Acadia General Hospital where he later died from his wounds.

Crowley Police are working on several leads which indicate the possibility of a single gunman who approached the victim on foot and shot him. A second lead indicates that the suspect may have entered a vehicle and fled the scene. Information obtained indicates that the suspect in this case is possibly a black male, medium build, possibly in his 20’s.
