Crime of the Week is released by Crime Stoppers once a week. This release has to do with a crime which is being highlighted by law enforcement for additional information. This release normally occurs on Tuesdays.

The Crowley Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance to locate wanted fugitives.

Judson Collins is described as a black male, 50, 5’7” in height, weighing 150 pounds, with short black hair. His last known address is 264 Westwood Dr. in Crowley. Collins is wanted for Distribution of Crack Cocaine.

Angelique Maynard is described as a white female, 44, 5’2” in height, weighing 180 pounds, with short brown hair. Her last known address is 184 Petal Rd., in Egan. Maynard is wanted for Distribution of Hydrocodone.

Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish needs your help to solve a crime.

The Rayne Police Department is asking for the publics’ assistance to identify several suspects involved in an attempted burglary. The crime occurred at the Classic Carwash located on South Adams in Rayne around 2:30AM on September 5, 2014.

The surveillance video shows a four door sedan green in color with a sunroof occupied by two black males and a light skinned female pull next to the vacuum by the coin dispenser. The driver, a dark skin black male, approximately 6’00” in height, wearing blue jean pants, white T-Shirt and a dark colored cap exited the vehicle grabbing a tool out the trunk and attempted to gain entry into the coin machine while the other occupants appeared to be cleaning the car and looking out.

The Crowley Police Department is investigating a hit and run that occurred in the 1700 block of N. Ave. D on 6/13/14, at approximately 10:30 p.m.

The suspect was driving an off white or champagne color 2000-2002 Lincoln LS. Picture is not of the actual vehicle.

Gibson, Kaleb

Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish needs your help to locate a wanted fugitive.

On August 29, 2014, Crowley officers conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of W. 8th St.  During the stop the driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot.  The driver was immediately identified as Kaleb Gibson, 20, of Crowley. Officers recovered crack cocaine and Valium pills. Warrants have been obtained for PWITD crack cocaine and Valium.

Gibson is described as a black male, 5’10” in height, weighing 175 pounds. His last known address is 614 N. Ave. C, in Crowley.

Anyone found to be aiding Gibson by hiding him will be charged with harboring a fugitive. It is believed he may be staying in Kathy Apartments in Crowley.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing a red shirt and black shorts riding an orange bicycle. He left the scene and headed towards Meadow’s Apartments.

The Crowley Police Department is investigating burglaries that occurred at Radio Shack and AT&T Wireless located at753 Odd Fellows Rd. on 8/19/14 at approx. 4:10 a.m.

Forced entries were made into both businesses and phones, tablets, and other electronics were stolen. Video surveillance from inside the businesses captured four black males with their faces covered. Additional surveillance from a nearby store shows the alleged suspects entering that store prior to the burglary. They were seen leaving in two midsized sedans. One light color car and the other dark.

The Crowley Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Damaris Harmon, 21 of Crowley. He’s described as a black male, 6’3” in height, weighing 160 pounds, with short black hair. His last known address is 415 W. Andrus in Crowley.

Harmon is wanted for 1 count of First Degree Murder in reference to the homicide of Kenneth Drake which occurred Saturday evening in the 1000 block of W. 7th Street. He should be considered armed and dangerous.

The Crowley Police Department is investigating criminal damage which occurred at Louisiana Rice Mill, located at 600 W. 1st St., during the night of July 24, 2014.

Entry was made into the business and several grain silos were opened causing several million pounds of rice to spill onto the ground.  A suspect vehicle described as a black or dark colored full size pickup truck was seen leaving the area heading East on Mill Street.

Crowley Police needs your help to locate Teaqulia Plowden, black female, 32 years of age. She is described as being 5’06” in height, weighing 232 pounds, with black hair. Her last known address is 1836 Harry Fuselier Dr. in Crowley. She is believed to use alias names.

Plowden is wanted for identity theft, forgery, 5 counts of bank fraud, and unauthorized use of an access card.

The Crowley Police Department is investigating a shooting that killed Ryan Gums shortly after 2:00 am on July 14, 2014, in the 1400 block of West Northern Avenue near Buatt Street. Shedrick Robinson, 22 of Crowley has been arrested but police are seeking information on one or two other unidentified suspects that were believed to be involved.

Donavan K. Robinson is described as a black male, 30, 5’5” in height, weighing 163 pounds, with short black hair. His last known address is 618 Stagg Ave., in Crowley. Robinson is wanted for Distribution of Crack Cocaine.

Lucinda E. Viator is described as a white female, 31, 5’3” in height, weighing 105 pounds, with long brown hair. Her last known address is 620 S. Ave. K, in Crowley. Viator is wanted for Distribution of Oxycodone.

Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish is asking for your assistance in solving a rash of residential burglaries.

The Crowley Police Department is investigating several residential burglaries that occurred during daytime hours in the Historical District beginning on May 26, 2014.

Forced entry was made into each residence. Once inside, the suspects stole electronics, firearms, jewelry, and cash. The suspects are described as two black males with short hair, in their late teens – early twenties, and a driver described as a black female. A dark grey four door SUV was seen in the area at the time of the burglaries.

The Crowley Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at a residence located in the 400 block of E. 4th St. on Memorial Day, 2014, at approx. 12:20 p.m.

Forced entry was made into the residence. Once inside, the suspects stole a black Beretta 12 gauge shotgun, a wood grain Browning 20 gauge shotgun, a MacBook Pro, an iPad, and other items. The three suspects are described as two black males, late teens – early 20’s, and an unidentified third person. They were seen leaving in a dark grey 4-dr. SUV.

The unknown suspect(s) stole several 2’ lengths of rebar and other various metals. The suspect may have been driving a gold 2000 Chevrolet Impala.

Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish needs your help to solve a crime.

Crowley Police are investigating an incident which occurred on April 16, 2014, at approximately 4:00 pm at Wal Mart located at 729 Odd Fellows Rd.

Officers were advised that a bathroom area of the store was set on fire. The fire was extinguished quickly with no serious damage to the store and no injuries were reported.

Crowley Police do need your help to identify a person of interest in this matter. This person of interest is described as a white male, approximately 5’7” to 5’9” in height, weighing approximately 130 – 160 pounds. This person has dark color hair, is clean shaven and has a thin build.
