An officer’s observation of a traffic violation has led to the arrest of a pair of Crowley men for narcotics violations. Shortly after 1:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, the officer observed a vehicle driving in a careless manner.  The officer conducted the stop on West 3rd Street near North Ave A.

“After the stop was made, the officer located a substance believed to be Crack Cocaine. This substance was in constructive possession of both occupants, thus both men were arrested” stated Chief KP Gibson.

After making the arrest, officers discovered that both men had outstanding warrants from Crowley Police Narcotics for PWITD Schedule I & II narcotics.

Arrested were Antonio Brooks, 17, Crowley and David Chaisson, Jr., 17, Crowley. Both men were booked into the Acadia Parish Jail on Possession of Crack Cocaine and the outstanding warrants.

“I appreciate the officers being out and looking for problems in our community and being proactive rather than reactive” stated Chief Gibson.
