Crowley Police are investigating a pair of shooting incidents which have occurred in the past 24 hours. The first incident occurred Saturday evening at approximately 6:46 pm in the 600 block of North Ave B.
Officers responded to the scene on the first incident to discover that a male subject had been shot in the head. At this time the shooter has not been identified, however our personnel are following up on leads. The victim was transferred to a Lafayette Hospital but has since died from his injuries.
The second incident occurred this morning at 10:28 am in the 500 block of West Hutchinson Ave. It is believed that this shooting incident is in retaliation from the first incident. During the second incident, several male subjects were approached by a male subject while sitting in a vehicle. After a brief exchange of words, the suspect removed a firearm and began shooting at the occupants of the vehicle. Two occupants were struck in their extremities and have non-life threatening injuries.
